Bethany Stehlik
Intuitive, Enthusiastic, Loving
Bethany Stehlik graduated from Umass Lowell with a bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology and minors in Psychology and Nutrition. She completed her massage therapy licensure at the Salter School in Tewksbury, MA and has been working in the massage field since. She is currently a member of the Massachusetts chapter of the American Massage Therapy Association.
Bethany specializes in clinical and sports massage, deep tissue work, and injury prevention, rehabilitation and Graston Technique. She includes stretching with soft tissue work in her treatment sessions. Bethany competed for the Umass Lowell track team throughout her undergraduate years, and then began coaching at a local high school upon graduation. Because of her background in sports and exercise science, Bethany has gained many athletic clients, from the casual runner, to the weekend warrior, to the seasoned marathoner. Bethany has also acquired the following of many young middle and high school athletes and loves to watch their improvements, as many young athletes respond quickly with regular massage and maintenance.
Bethany’s love for education and the human body began much earlier than college, and continues today as she attends multiple continuing education classes and is in the process of completing her first year of school for Physical Therapist Assistant at Mount Wachusett Community College.
Testimonials
I am an avid runner and exercise enthusiast for now over 40 years. Miles and aging have taken their toll, but have never squelched my drive to keep moving forward. But you can't do it alone. You need a team to support you. I've found some vital supporters over the years who are keys to my success in overcoming obstacles and for whom I am hugely grateful. They are my chiropractor, my husband/coach, my orthotics designer, various podiatrists and orthopods, shoe store sales folks, and my massage therapist, last but FAR from least. I have had many massage therapists over the years, from the newby to elites who work theBoston Marathon massage tent year after year. Bethany's skill level equals the best of those for sure, and has kept me coming back to her biweekly for the last 5 months. But what sets her apart, since she is an athlete, trained in massage and a student of Physical Therapy, is her strong knowledge of the athlete's body in motion, with helpful insight about what may be causing recurring issues and suggestions for how to overcome them, if asked. Such insights have been invaluable for me as I overcome recent obstacles and get back on the roads. - J.B
